First-Party Data Infrastructure for Omnichannel GTM

Content syndication across multiple channels is only efficient if it starts from a single source of truth. Without that infrastructure, every channel update requires a separate manual effort, every asset is at risk of going stale, and the cost of maintaining accuracy grows proportionally with the catalog size.

At NutriGold, I built the company’s first product information management (PIM) and digital asset management (DAM) infrastructure to solve exactly this problem. Using Salsify as the platform foundation, I modeled the product data schema to reflect NutriGold’s full catalog with consistent, validated field structures. This eliminated the version-control issues and data inconsistencies that had historically created friction in the syndication process.

The DAM component, built with custom scripting in MAXScript, JavaScript, and Shell, established a named-asset library that could be queried and pushed programmatically. When paired with the PIM, product updates flowed from a single entry point to every channel simultaneously, whether that was the NutriGold website, Amazon, third-party retailers, or internal sales enablement materials.

The immediate impact was a significant reduction in time spent on manual content updates and a corresponding improvement in catalog accuracy across channels. The longer-term impact was a first-party data infrastructure that gave every downstream GTM initiative a reliable foundation to build on.
