A trade show booth is a demand generation asset. Its job is to stop the right people, communicate the right message, and hand them off to sales with enough context to begin a qualified conversation.
For Fortem’s 2021 trade show circuit, I developed a booth system built around the three operational pillars of the SkyDome ecosystem: detect, assess, and defeat. The visual hierarchy was engineered to create immediate comprehension for buyers at various stages of familiarity, from first-time observers to technical evaluators who already understood the category.
Critically, the infographics along the booth’s lower panels were not decorative. They were built as field-level sales enablement tools, giving representatives a visual reference for walking prospects through the solution. When the booth layout was finalized, leadership repositioned these panels to give them maximum floor exposure, a decision that reflected the team’s confidence in their conversion value.
The result was a booth presence that generated qualified conversations at every show, contributing to the 250+ qualified leads Fortem accumulated across its 2021 trade show strategy.
